What is it?

A hydrofoil designed to move on/in the water by a person ‘jumping’ up and down in a rhythmic fashion. Think of it as a water bike — WITHOUT wheels.

I fell in love with this device as soon as I saw it. I just had to have one. I’ve had lots of fun learning how to use it, got wet ‘many’ times, it’s a great unit.
Once you’ve mastered it, then if you need to get over to your sail boat or whatever then just step off the wharf and pump away.
I will put some video clips on youtube.com for you to see how it works and also how to assemble / disassemble the unit.

Whilst your learning, be prepared to get wet a few times, and to laugh a lot (at yourself).
You do get lots of encouragement from bystanders as they can see your starting to get it, and they want you to succeed, as everyone thinks it can’t work until you start traveling some distance and then the jaws drop.
We found that using a light ‘reel’ from behind we could easily tow it back, also a wetsuit for each person, and find a wharf with an easy entry and exit area made for easy launching and retrieval.

There are 3 weight settings for the unit, I’m in the heavier band, but I use a pair of pliers to remove/reinsert the stainless rings to reposition the flexible curved bar.

What does it cost? ...  $595 delivered by courier to you.

I have enlisted the assistance of my 2 nephews Eddie and Alex Clatworthy of LILLI PILLI, for the making of short videos for instructional purposes (24/1/2008).
They had not tried the unit prior to when I brought it over.
I have great confidence that they will do well, I will put up the number of times they each tried it before becoming successful.
