Underwater Housings, + Cameras on Extn Poles.:

As a result of an inquiry from a scuba diver that had his expensive video camera housing ‘flood’ and be told that there was nothing that could be done to fix it, I made a simple but extremely strong video housing out of American High Pressure (9000 PSI) Tube. These housings are rated to over 100 metres, but I am keen to push them down to 200 metres.

The housings are cylindrical with clear lens at front and back and are big enough to open the monitor screen internally to see what you are filming.
There are 6 SST latches (self locking) on each housing.
I have not yet worried about having moveable controls to operate functions whilst diving. There are some interesting developments coming up that I will keep an eye on.

Underwater Cameras on Extn Poles.:

Due to popular demand (1 customer request, ok I like to build it up a bit), we have made an underwater camera for use in a variety of applications: marina work, surveillance, boat inspections, coaching of swimmers for stroke correction etc.
The unit is not expensive, consisting of a camera mounted in a torch head with a clip on/off and bubble arm for adjustment to suit the angl desired, as well as an adjustable pole eg a swimming pool pole, and the output signal is a yellow RCA Video plug that you can use into a monitor or camera or VCR etc etc.
I am currently sending the video to a coloured LCD monitor (hand held) but that choice is completely up to you (lots of possibilities).
I will do some more testing and put up pics and options over the next few weeks.
Drop by the shop and have a look at how simple the system is, you might even have an idea as to how to improve upon it.
