Fish Rock Cave—South West Rocks

Fish Rock Cave is rated as 1 of the top ten dives in Australia. We agree.
The island has a geological fault right through it allowing divers to swim through the natural tunnel, a distance of about 120 metres, awesome. There’s so much to see in the cave and outside, that will blow your mind. Where do I start—sharks (of course) lots of them, grey nurse wobbegongs shovel nosed rays, rays and eagle rays, mantas, turtles, did I forget something?, oh and the odd dolphin as well. Fish life is mainly tropicals, you name it its there.

There are currently 2 dive centres in SWR.
1. South West Rocks dive centre: 02.65666474 5/98 Gregory St SWR 2431.
2. Fishrock dive centre: 02.65666614 134 Gregory St SWR 2431.

We have dived with both operators. SWR dive centre has 3 boats, Fishrock dive centre has 1 boat.

There are plenty of choices for accommodation at SWR.
However we have stayed and enjoyed ‘Sandy Toes’ and would heartily recommend Sandy Toes, overlooking SWR.

Sandy Toes was built by its owner Glen Hocking, a local of many years. Glen has achieved what he set out to do - make an idyllic setting with panoramic views over SWR on 5 acres surrounded by lush national park bushland. It is only a short bushwalk to the local ocean beaches such as The Gap etc. The cabins, or homes as I view them are fully contained quality built and fitted out residences. A lovely salt water pool to relax in. A magnificent BBQ area complements the vista in front of you. Glen is happy for you to bring your pets (no Elephants allowed).

BTW, we also sell 12 volt hookahs aka tankless diving. Anyone on or in a boat who has a need to go under the water for cleaning their hull, doing repairs, emergency at sea, or just light weight recreational diving can use one of these units to breathe underwater.
